0-1: Kubo decides an intense first league match

Cádiz lost by the minimum against Real Sociedad in the first match of the season.

The first match of the season began with a counter-attacking action by Choco Lozano, who in the second minute of the game, after leaving two opponents behind, shot low into the body of Remiro. The Donostia-San Sebastian team reacted under their philosophy, looking for the quality of Brais Méndez and David Silva to reach the Cadista area with danger.

Close to the half hour mark, and after an attempt by Mikel Merino, the Real Sociedad goal came when Take Kubo took advantage of a good pass from his teammate. The Real player received in the front, faced Conan and put the zero to one on the scoreboard. Minutes later, Fali, inside the area, came close to equalizing when he finished off a rejected ball in the area after a corner.

Pacha looked for an equalizer on the verge of the break with a shot from the edge of the area, but the ball went wide. Minutes later, Diaz de Mera signaled the end of the first half. In the second half, Mikel Merino had the most dangerous approaches of the Donostiarras with shots that went straight out of the field.

As the minutes passed, the Cadistas put all their efforts into the game in search of the equalizer, with the agility of Awer Mabil and the speed of Alejo. Their crosses did not find a finisher, as the visitors were solid at the back when the Yellows moved the ball close to their domains.

Finally, although the Cadistas searched for the equalizer until the end and Imanol Alguacil's team had chances when the Yellows were turned on the opponent's field, Ledesma prevented the score from moving again, ending the match with zero to one on the scoreboard.
