Cádiz CF played the 36th round of LALIGA EA SPORTS away against Sevilla FC, starting with: Conan Ledesma; Iza, Fali, Víctor Chust, Javi Hernández; Robert Navarro, Escalante, Rubén Alcaraz; Roger Martí, and Chris Ramos.

The match began evenly on the Sánchez-Pizjuán pitch. The first chance came from Cádiz with a central shot by Chris Ramos in the 6th minute, which the home goalkeeper saved easily.

Sevilla responded with a shot from Lukebakio in the 15th minute, and which Conan Ledesma responded with a great save. The chances were sparse for both teams until Cádiz enjoyed two consecutive corners after half an hour, allowing them to settle in the Sevilla area for a few minutes.

In the 34th minute, Robert Navarro slipped through the area, weaving past defenders with skill and a bit of luck, only to hit the crossbar. Cádiz continued to press and found their best chance in the 40th minute when Chris Ramos, after rounding Nyland, missed an open goal, the ball just grazing the post. One minute of added time brought the first half to the end.

The second half began with one change: Suso replaced Lukebakio for Sevilla. Cádiz resumed with the same intensity as they ended the first half. Roger had a powerful shot saved by Nyland in the 47th minute, followed quickly by a new shot on target from Rubén Sobrino.

In the 58th minute, Rubén Alcaraz launched a fierce shot from mid-range, which Nyland had to work hard to save. Immediately after, Escalante headed wide from a wonderful Robert Navarro cross. Chris Ramos then headed over the bar, marking Cádiz’s third chance in quick succession.

In the 60th minute, Sergi Guardiola and Juanmi replaced Roger Martí and Sobrino. In the 64th minute, Juanmi’s excellent individual play created another chance, but he was blocked from shooting at the last moment.

In the 66th minute, Badé accidentally put the ball into his own net, but after consulting VAR, the goal was disallowed for a foul on the Sevilla defender.

In the 80th minute, Iván Alejo and Brian Ocampo replaced Zaldua and Robert Navarro. Sergi Guardiola had another chance in the 82nd minute, but Nyland saved his near-post effort with his face, following a great cross from Ocampo.

The match entered a frantic final phase, with Cádiz attacking relentlessly but struggling to find the net. Nine minutes were added to the regular 90.

In the 96th minute, Juanmi's brilliant pass found Sergi Guardiola, who scored to spark wild celebrations at Sánchez-Pizjuán.

Cádiz desperately needed the win, deserved it, and achieved it to keep their hopes alive.
