0-0 | Cádiz and Rayo level on points

Two teams with different ideas when it comes to handling the ball, Cádiz and Rayo Vallecano, met on Wednesday at the Cádiz stadium in search of three points that would take them to their respective goals. It was Rayo who looked to strike first with shots from Álvaro García and Alfonso Espino, while the first dangerous move of the game came after twenty minutes when Maxi Gómez's header went wide. Six minutes later he had another chance in the same way.

The game was becoming more intense as the minutes ticked by, with both teams searching unsuccessfully as the final stretch of the first half was punctuated by split balls and scuffles. With the score level at 0-0, the two teams headed for the tunnel with everything still to play for in the second half.

The second half resumed with both teams finding it difficult to create chances in the area. Before the hour mark, a good personal move by Alejo looking for Roger was to be thwarted by the visitors' defence, one of the few chances of the first part of the second half.

With long-range shots from Isi Palazón, Lejeune and Isi Palazón, the Rayistas were looking for the goal, only to come up against a great Conan Ledesma. In the final minutes, after Rayo had been reduced to one down in the 88th minute due to the sending off of Mumin, Sergi Guardiola came close to a goal.
