Cádiz CF coach Paco López appeared at a press conference after the LXX edition of the Carranza Trophy: "This is what pre-season is for, for countless tests. We've had a lot of difficulties with injuries, especially in midfield, but it's given us the chance to see other young players from the youth academy. The important thing is for the team to become a team with a clear identity".

Squad. "Unfortunately there is still time left before the market closes, which is after the competition, and anything can happen. I try to be effective and that means working with what I have. That's my job as a coach".

Ontiveros. "Yesterday in training he had to withdraw due to discomfort and today in the warm-up he also had it and we preferred not to risk it".

The team. "The transformation of the team is not going to be easy because it is a long process. The team is going to have an important change of idea compared to the last few years, and we will make mistakes for sure, but we won't have any excuses until we achieve what we want to see".

Home-grown players. "There is more than one possibility that they will stay. We have the advantage that some of them, due to their age, can still play with the reserve team and be in the dynamic of the first team".
