Cádiz CF recorded its tenth consecutive match without defeat after a 0-0 draw against Castellón, a team that applied pressure at various stages of the game but barely created goal-scoring opportunities.

Gaizka Garitano’s side stepped onto the pitch with a clear game plan, moving the ball quickly and seeking vertical play to create dangerous situations near the Castellón goal.

First-Half Chances

With this approach, Cádiz created its first clear opportunity just after the 15-minute mark. Javier Ontiveros played a perfectly timed pass to Chris Ramos, who found himself in a one-on-one situation but failed to hit the target as goalkeeper Gonzalo rushed out to close the angle.

Around the 30th minute, the roles were reversed. Chris Ramos provided a headed assist to Ontiveros, who broke into the box and fired a shot that was deflected for a corner by the defense.

Just before halftime, Cádiz came close twice more. First, Ontiveros scored a brilliant solo goal, only for the referee to rule it out for offside. Then, Chris Ramos nearly found the net with a shot that went just wide of the post.

Second Half: Cádiz Pushes for the Win

Shortly after the restart, Cádiz had a dangerous free-kick opportunity, with the team’s top scorer trying his luck, but his effort went over the crossbar. Moments later, De la Rosa attempted a shot following a swift attacking move, but it failed to hit the target.

As the match progressed, both teams traded attacking moments, but Cádiz had the most clear-cut chance of the second half. A counterattack led by Brian Ocampo was finished by Ontiveros, whose shot went inches wide of the goal.

Final Whistle: A Stalemate Despite Cádiz’s Dominance

In the end, Cádiz CF created more goal-scoring opportunities but was unable to convert any into a decisive goal. Despite the draw, the team extends its impressive ten-match unbeaten streak, maintaining its solid form in LALIGA Hypermotion.
