Cádiz CF captain Álex Fernández gave his assessment in the press room following the victory over Real Sporting on Matchday 37 of LALIGA Hypermotion.

Victory:
"It’s been an irregular and disappointing season in many ways, and the least we can do is to secure survival as soon as possible."

Survival:
"This league is tough and full of surprises. Until it’s mathematically secured, we cannot relax; we have to remain professional until the end."

Garitano's tenure:
"The coach has a very real understanding of the league. When you concede very little and keep clean sheets, you have a much higher chance of winning. There are a thousand ways to play football, but the important thing is earning points. The team’s effort today was titanic."

Match details:
"I’d like to watch the match again because there are many details you miss live. I think scoring from our first clear chance was crucial. Chris scored a great goal, and from there, we knew how to be a strong, solid team."

Objective:
"The first goal is securing survival, which is logical in Segunda División. Had we achieved it earlier, we could have fought for other goals. We must stay grounded, and today the priority is to secure safety. It’s not mathematically certain yet, but we’ve opened a good gap. It’s been a difficult season, and the least we can do is bring some joy to our fans."
