Cádiz secured another point after a goalless draw against Eibar on Matchday 33 of LALIGA Hypermotion, in a tightly contested and evenly matched encounter.
The opening minutes of the match saw both teams testing each other, with similar playing styles and both coming into the game in a positive run of form.
The first real warning came just before the 15-minute mark. Javier Ontiveros, from a direct free-kick, went for goal with a powerful and well-placed shot that crashed against the left post of the visitors’ net.
Barely ten minutes later, Chris Ramos received the ball near the opponent’s corner, dribbled past a defender into the box, and fired a shot that forced Magunagoitia to save it for a corner.
The clearest chance for the visitors in the first half came from Arbilla around the 30th minute, when he struck a curling shot from the edge of the box that made David Gil react to keep the score level.
After the break, Cádiz came out with even more intensity, pressing Eibar deep in their half and generating several dangerous chances to open the scoring.
However, neither team managed to find the back of the net, and the points were eventually shared in a hard-fought draw.
