With 10 minutes remaining in Cádiz’s match against Sevilla on Saturday, Manuel Nieto fulfilled his dream of playing in LaLiga Santander. “I’m really happy to have made my debut,” the club youth product said. “It’s a before-and-after moment in my career. I’ll keep on working hard to be ready to go whenever I’m needed by the first team.”
Nieto added that Sevilla’s two first-half goals knocked the stuffing out of Cádiz. “The first 45 was pretty even until they got the opener – and conceding the second so soon after that was a real hammer blow. In the second half we tried to carve out openings in and around their area, but Sevilla showed what a good side they are and got the third goal.”
