Joseba Zaldua had to withdraw from Wednesday's game against Real Betis with an injury to his right knee. After an initial examination by the medical team, he has undergone an emergency MRI scan in the last few hours, which gave the following results: "ruptured anterior cruciate ligament, torn meniscus, sprained collateral ligament and contusion with bone oedema."
In the next few days he will have to undergo arthroscopy and will be out of action for the next few months.
