Chust: "The team has a lot of room for improvement"

The Valencian player spoke to the press on Wednesday ahead of the match against RCD Espanyol.

The central defender Víctor Chust spoke to the media in the press room of the Ciudad Deportiva before the match against RCD Espanyol next Sunday. "This is the Cadiz that people want to see, that we train every week and we needed the victory in Valladolid to gain confidence and show what we are capable of doing. The team is comfortable now, we have good feelings and that's the way to get the victories."

Participation. "If the coach decided not to start me against Barça, he gave me that warning. We talked about it and I accept it. In the games I had been playing I had not given the level required of me and that helped me to take a step forward. I think that now we have seen a different Víctor, the Víctor that I want to see too and I hope to continue in this line."

Commitment to the club. "Last year, even though I was on loan, I was fighting for a common goal and the same demands were made of me. My priority was to keep Cádiz in the First Division. Now that I am part of the club I value it more and I will continue to fight to achieve the goal of permanence."

Room for improvement. "It's more of a confidence issue. The first few games we struggled a bit more. Valladolid gave us confidence, I think we are recovering our sensations. We have been working on it every week and we want to continue recovering our sensations. We are at 60-70 %, I think we have room for improvement."

Sunday's opponent. "Espanyol is a great team, they are very well worked. We will propose to go out with the ball, have the ball, generate clear chances, keep a clean sheet, which will not be easy because they have great players."
