Álex: "This does not represent the club and its values at all"

Cadiz midfielder and captain, Álex Fernández, spoke to Movistar + LALIGA microphones after the 6-1 defeat against UD Almería: "A defeat to think about many things, a disgrace. Six goals in the second half is a disgrace, and I don't understand it. One thing is losing because teams play, and this is football, but conceding six goals in 45 minutes is unforgivable."

Reflection: "In seven years at Cadiz, I had never experienced anything like this, never. We had never conceded six goals. We have always been an organized, defensively strong team, and whether it goes better or worse, what happened today requires a lot of reflection."

Self-criticism: "I understand that the mood is tough, that we are experiencing a relegation battle, but we still represent a great club, a great city, and today is our fault. We will talk in the locker room because this does not represent the team or the club's values at all, and, as I said, I have been here for seven years, I know what I'm saying, and this is something to look into."
