1-1 | A hard fought Andalusian derby

Like any self-respecting Andalusian derby, this Betis-Cádiz match was charged with tension and intensity from the start. It was not until the half hour mark that the game began to create chances. Rodri, with a cross-shot before the thirty minute mark, opened the counter of dangerous approaches.

In the 41st minute, a good Cadista counter-attack was to open the video scoreboard. Maxi Gómez's cross from the right was poisoned by a defender and found its way into the heart of the box where Chris Ramos rose to head the ball past Claudio Bravo to make it 0-0-1. The Cádiz native headed the ball past Claudio Bravo to make it 0-1.

Pezzella, with a header, had the chance to equalise before half-time, when both teams went into the changing rooms with the score at 0-1. In the second half, with the introduction of Abde, the Betis increased their presence in the Cadistas' vicinity, and he had the first chance of the second half.

The equaliser came on the hour mark. Guido Rodríguez, with a 'Chileena', took advantage of a rejected ball in the area to beat Conan Ledesma who almost avoided the goal. This goal gave wings to Betis, who began to put the ball into the Cádiz area with serious problems.

In the final minutes of the game, where Cádiz had a few close calls, it was Los Béticos who came closest to a third goal on Sunday evening. A stellar Conan Ledesma kept out goals from Isco and Ayoze, leaving the game in a draw and both sides sharing the points.
