0-5 | Victory in Benalup to open the pre-season

This Friday saw the start of the pre-season friendly matches for Cádiz CF. Once again, the Cadista team made their debut in the preparatory stage for the league championship with the Diego Fernández del Barbate CF Memorial, which was played once again at the Estadio Fernando Romero "Fernandín" in Benalup-Casas Viejas.

From the outset, the Cadista side found Barbate closed in at the back, trying to protect the spaces to prevent Sergio Gonzalez's side from scoring the first goal. The first goal of the afternoon, and of the Cadista pre-season, arrived in the fifteenth minute when a run by Álvaro Negredo ended in a pass from the "shark" to Chris Ramos, who scored the first goal.

Minutes later, just after the twentieth minute, Álvaro Negredo, from outside the area, beat Leko with a strong low shot to score the second goal of the afternoon. The Cadistas had a few more chances to increase the gap, but the score was still 0-2 at the end of the first half.

In the second half, after the carousel of changes classic in pre-season friendlies, the Yellows were getting back into the game until Roger, on the hour mark, headed in the third goal from Osmajic's cross. The Montenegrin striker would be in charge of the fourth minutes later.

In the 71st minute, Álex Fernández, from the penalty spot, took charge of a penalty on Osmajic, deceiving the goalkeeper to make it 0-5. With this result the match ended in Benalup.
