0-1 | Osasuna takes the game with a long-range shot

A long-range goal by Rubén García decides the game for Osasuna.

A Cadiz with ambition opened the crucial duel against Osasuna on Tuesday at the Cadiz temple. With an acrobatic Chris looking for an impossible shot and Sobrino arriving, the first of a series of chances were created after five minutes of play. Minutes later, Luis Hernández headed a cross from the left that went over the crossbar.

The Cadistas were looking for a way to break through the iron defense of Pamplona, while the visitors were not in too much of a hurry to create attacking moves. After half an hour of the match, Roger Martí, from the front, made a strong shot that went close to the corner. The visitors responded with two headers from Ibáñez and Unai García that did not find the net.

In stoppage time of the first half, Chris Ramos made an acrobatic shot taking advantage of a rebound from a corner that went just wide. Shortly after this play, the referee signaled the way to the locker room with the scoreboard tied at nothing.

The second half began with the ball in no man's land, although Osasuna was more attacking. It would be at the hour mark when a long-range shot by Rubén García was going to slip into the yellow goal, grazing the post. With the goal, Osasuna took a step back while the Gaditanos went for the equalizer.

Until the end of the game, the yellows did not stop trying in every possible way, Sergi Guardiola even crashed a ball into the woodwork. Finally, the result would not move again and the three points traveled to Pamplona.
