0-1 | Sandro decides in Cadista's fifth friendly match

Cádiz lost to Las Palmas in what was their last friendly match of the training camp in Marbella

Under intense heat, Cádiz played the third match of their training camp in Marbella on Friday, the fifth of the entire pre-season. On this occasion, the Yellows faced UD Las Palmas on the main pitch of the Marbella Football Centre, with the game ending in victory for the Canaries.

The match began with a high tempo that was diluted as the minutes went by, conditioned by the high temperatures. The Cadistas, through Darwin Machis, arrived on the left flank with considerable danger. The Venezuelan, with speed and quality, looked for Chris Ramos and Sobrino from his flank without success.

The Canaries had a few dangerous chances, but it was the Cadistas who came closest to scoring in the first half. Chris Ramos, from Roger's cross from the left flank, tried his luck when he was forced to take a lob that went narrowly wide. Subsequently, the referee signalled half-time.

After the first few minutes of the second half, with a carousel of changes for both teams, the Gran Canarian side took the lead with a great shot from the edge of the area by Sandro Ramírez.

As the minutes ticked by, the Yellows were looking for dangerous approaches to get close to a goal that would give them the equaliser. In the final minutes, Sergio González's men came close to equalising, but the Canaries' defence stood firm to prevent a one-one scoreline.
