The Nuevo Mirandilla will increase its seating capacity by 260 seats

Cádiz CF will have 17,234 season ticket holders this season, the highest number in the last decade.

Cadiz CF will expand the capacity of the Nuevo Mirandilla stadium by 260 seats and will reach the figure of 17,234 season ticket holders, the highest in the last decade. The vice president of the entity, Rafael Contreras, has made this announcement during a breakfast briefing held Wednesday at the stadium itself, which has reviewed various issues of the Cadista current affairs.

The expansion of the seats, for whose work the appropriate administrative procedures have already begun, will be ready by the end of the year. This will increase the capacity of the Fondo Norte and Fondo Sur by 130 seats each. Contreras indicated that in order to fill these seats, the current waiting list of season ticket holders will be taken into account, as well as the group of fans under 25 years of age.

These 260 seats for the club's season ticket holders will be added to the 16,974 that have closed the campaign for the season that begins on Sunday for Cádiz CF, which is the highest number of season ticket holders in the last ten years.

In his appearance before the media, Rafael Contreras referred to numerous current Cadista issues, including the need for the activation of season tickets. In this sense, the club's vice-president explained that the only reasons that have led to adopt this measure are security, as established by the regulations of the Professional Football League and for the celebration of major events. "Technology at major events is here to stay, whether we like it or not," he said.

The measure, he said, makes it possible to identify season ticket holders who do not come to the stadium and contact them to ensure that the stadium is always full, but never with the aim of putting their season tickets on sale. In this regard, he was categorical in assuring that "no season ticket has been sold and no season ticket will be sold".

Asked about the difficulties that some fans may have with the computer activation of season tickets, Rafael Contreras reminded that not only in this case, but as already happened with the renewals, the club will provide personalized assistance to those who request it "so that no season ticket holder is left without activation".

Sportech City

On the project of the sports technology city on the land owned by Sport City Cadiz in Puerto Real, the vice president commented that it continues to move forward, with an eye on the dismantling of the former Delphi facilities. "Cádiz needs business projects, not only that of Cádiz CF", insisted Contreras, adding that "now we have possibilities to grow on the business level and with that help the sporting growth of the club and have resources to be able to respond when necessary".

Rafael Contreras also spoke about the signings for the new season, recalling that Cádiz has managed to keep top players in the team and admitting that "it is logical that the fans always ask for signings". Regarding the criticisms, he referred to the club's figures, both in terms of subscriber growth and in economic terms, to conclude that "that is the only reality, that we continue to grow, although we must not forget that this is soccer and there will always be criticisms."
