Cadista coach Sergio González spoke to the media before Sunday's match against Real Sociedad. "We arrive at a great time to generate and play a great match. We are adapting because it is a continuous and gradual process. Against Sevilla we were close to being the team we want to be. This Sunday we can be expected to compete, to be solid, compact, to keep our lines together and to have the capacity to generate, combine and score goals. We are going to see a good Cádiz that is going to play a good match, that is eager to play in front of its own people. The first motto we have in the dressing room is that people can't reproach us for anything".
A season marked by the World Cup in Qatar. "One tries to get advice on the planning of other leagues affected by the World Cup break as well. We have tried to plan the season with the break in mind. Hopefully the results will reaffirm the intention we have had for the preparation of the year."
Real Sociedad. "It's a team that plays very good soccer, they handle the ball very well. Last year was one of the few games in which we can be blamed for something. They have made interesting signings, they have kept important players. They combine well inside, they have fast wingers. It's a team that demands a very good version of you. We have tried to talk about all of them, their different structures. We will see an intense, strong, solid team, with daring on the ball".
The central defensive zone. "Momo has a lot of conditions. The option of Víctor Chust was the one we liked the most, his performance was very good and the bet in the central area of the defense was him. We wanted to go for another option and, as Chust is U-23, we opted for Momo. It's a very good situation, he's a homegrown player and we love the fact of training players because it's also part of our job. We have always given the opportunity to the youngsters."
