The president of Cádiz CF, Manuel Vizcaíno, handed over the party poster to the mayor of Zahara de la Sierra, Santiago Galván, during the half-time match between Cádiz CF and Girona FC, a match corresponding to matchday 21 of LaLiga.

Under the motto "Cádiz CF Somos Provincia", Corpus Christi in Zahara de la Sierra has been honored at half-time in the authorities' box at the Nuevo Mirandilla Stadium.

For his part, Galván also delivered a present illustrating the traditional Corpus Christi festival to the president of Cádiz CF.

Regarding the celebration of the traditional festival of Corpus Christi in Zahara, after the concelebrated solemn mass, the Blessed Sacrament, wrapped in a centuries-old monstrance, leaves the parish church of Santa María de la Mesa, formerly the seat of the archpriest, under a sumptuous canopy red and gold and whose six varales carry, dignified and careful, men of the town.

The procession is opened by a tinkling silver baroque script and is watched by the children of their first communion, various authorities and a crowd of fervent Catholics who pray and sing overwhelmed with emotion and pure spirituality. A happy musical band, with its songs and patriotic hymns, the perfumed air of the sunny Zahareña morning.

Slow, majestic and accompanied by songs, prayers, a shower of petals and the jubilant ringing of bells, the sacramental procession of the Body of Christ ends its journey and returns to its sacred enclosure.

When, at sunset, the traveler moves away from Zahara and the lofty castle at whose feet he takes shelter, he feels the pleasant and indelible impression that he has attended an unrepeatable liturgical act that springs up every spring and is represented in a natural and historical setting. of unfading beauty.
