José Mata: "The Foundation is the social soul of Cádiz CF"
The Foundation's manager spoke to the official media to explain its evolution until reaching one hundred current agreements
After more than 20 years of social work, the Cádiz CF Foundation has signed more than one hundred current agreements with different associations, entities and institutions in the province of Cádiz in different matters.
José Mata, manager of the Cádiz CF Foundation and deputy to the Club's presidency, spoke to the official media in an interview to explain the past, present and future of the Cádiz Club de Fútbol Foundation.
The evolution of the Cádiz CF Foundation. "Twenty years of history that have gone a long way. In the last stage, the projects and activities have increased. The Foundation, right now, is an example at a national level and at the level of the LaLiga Foundation and that is a source of pride for everyone the cadistas and gaditanos".
At the service of the Cadiz society. "Cádiz CF is something more than a football team and a Club. Our mission is none other than to be with the society to which we owe so much. It must be repeated because it is reality. We continue in that line. It is the social soul of the Club and that people understand and value".
The impact of the Foundation. "We try to fulfill all the mandates of Corporate Social Responsibility and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. That means being in partnership with all segments. All of this leads to the fact that we have to hold events almost daily."
Cadism in our province. "From Cádiz CF and the Foundation we try to be close to the cadistas and people who have a feeling for the Club in the province. We try to be physically in those places so that the children and all those who want to get to know the Club up close , do it. This year we have launched the traveling exhibition on the history of Cádiz CF that we are taking throughout the province. A gesture that people appreciate and that creates those bonds".
The Club of 100 conventions. "The support that the associations and entities have with the Foundation is very important, and vice versa. The fact of being present in these alliances with more than 100 associations allows us to contribute and collaborate in all the activities that they generate. Somehow we fulfill that ODS, number seventeen, to create alliances directly and indirectly".
The values of Cádiz CF. "There are many other factors and values that we want children to understand, and we do so. Both in schools and with other football clubs and institutions. We make sure that in some way we can communicate to them what it means to have a healthy diet, anti-bullying campaigns , the promotion of reading... We must spare no effort and continue in that line. Our mission as a Foundation is to instill Cadism but also other important values".
Cádiz CF Genuine: the champion team. "Their function is to integrate, have fun, have a good time and enjoy themselves. In addition to this, they are very good at playing football. They are champions, champions of everything. It is a source of pride for us that they transfer these values as well as the repercussions they have for being champions" .
A look towards the horizon. "There is still a lot to do. We don't have to set a goal because you would have to try to get there and meet it. We are going to continue implementing all our activities, projects and actions. Continue creating, collaborating and helping. That is our role."
