Cádiz CF has opened the doors of the former Delphi site to present to the media the process of dismantling Sportech City, which began in April and has a completion period of five months.
José Mata, assistant to the president of Cádiz CF, welcomed the media and thanked them for their presence. "This land has been acquired by the company Sport City Cádiz SL, created by the club to create the technological city of sport. It will mark a before and after in the club's development. This project will benefit the club's image and will create a large number of direct and indirect jobs".
In the same vein, Mata added that "this is an exciting project for the present, not the long term, with which we will recover the prestige of these grounds. Sportech City will be a lung for the Bay".
José Mata recalled that "the land has been legally acquired at public auction with a large capital investment from the CVC funds of LaLiga Impulso".
Afterwards, the media were given a guided tour of the facilities by the project architect and a former Delphi worker. Both provided technical data on the project and explained the use of the warehouses and buildings of the former factory.
It should be remembered that Sportech City, a technological city of sport, links the business and economic fabric to the world of sport and health. The land will include a sports city, a technological business network, an events centre, a sports university and a digital city. It is a sustainable and environmentally friendly project.
