Cádiz coach Gaizka Garitano addressed the media at La Rosaleda after the team’s victory thanks to goals from Óscar Melendo and José Joaquín Matos, who both came off the bench in the second half.

Match analysis:
"We did a very good job. To win here, you have to put in a solid performance. This victory helped us regain confidence, good feelings, teamwork, and reminded us who we truly are as a team. The win was deserved, and I'm very happy for the players. Winning here isn't easy. We managed the match intelligently and took advantage of the spaces they left in the end."

On the jeers directed at Ontiveros:
“We came from a 3-0 defeat. In Segunda, if you don't defend well, you’ll never win; the players understand this very well. You must not concede goals and must score yourself. We didn't go out to draw—we played to win—but in Segunda, matches have their own rhythm and require patience. Today, we executed our plan effectively.”

Match analysis:
“We’ve done a very good job today. To win matches in the second division, defensive solidity is essential. The players understand that clearly. We didn’t come here looking for a draw; we came to win, and after careful effort and courage, we achieved it.”
