Cádiz CF will participate on May 30th in the inauguration of the new 'Jorge Mágico González' stadium with a match between the yellow first team and the El Salvador national team. The event, called 'A Magical Night', will begin with the stadium's opening ceremony, which will start at 7:00 p.m. (local time, 03:00 a.m. in Spain), followed by the mentioned match.
The match has been presented with a press conference attended by the deputy to the presidency and manager of Cádiz CF Foundation, José Mata; Mágico González; the president of the National Institute of Sports of El Salvador (INDES), Yamil Bukele; and the president of the Regularization Commission of the Salvadoran Football Federation, Humberto Sáenz.
Bukele, who opened the event, revealed the first details of the match, which can be watched live from the stands for free, and announced that the way to acquire tickets will be communicated soon, while expressing gratitude to both Cádiz CF and the Salvadoran national team for participating in the match.
Sáenz, on his part, thanked "the National Institute of Sports for inviting us to participate in this event, since we became aware of the mere possibility of holding 'A Magical Night', as it is now called, we immediately decided to support that initiative."
Subsequently, Mata recalled that "Mágico is a worldwide reference and his simplicity makes him a wonderful person," so "for Cádiz it is an honor to come to El Salvador to play this tribute match."
The last to speak was the Salvadoran former footballer himself, who expressed "excitement for this tribute," while regretting that he will not be able to "play due to age reasons, but from the field we will manage to thank the noble fans."
At the end of the event, Mata presented, in El Salvador, the new 'Mágico' clothing line, which was already worn by the former player during the event, circulated hours earlier on the yellow club's social media channels and was already available in all Cádiz CF stores.
