Cádiz Club de Fútbol and Gaizka Garitano have reached an agreement for the coach to become the team's coach until June 30, 2026.
Born in Derio (Vizcaya, Biscay, 09/07/1975), he played for Éibar, Ourense, Real Sociedad and Alavés. Subsequently, he developed his coaching career in clubs such as Éibar, Valladolid, Deportivo de La Coruña, Athletic Club and Almería.
Also joining the coaching staff are Patxi Ferreira, as assistant coach, Julio Hernando, as physical trainer, and José Manuel Santisteban, as goalkeeping coach.
The Basque coach is already in the capital of Cadiz and will conduct his first training session this Monday at the sports city. Afterwards, he will be presented at 13:30 in the stadium's press room.
