3-2 | Atleti come from behind against a great Cadiz side

As is common in Atlético de Madrid's starts, Griezmann opened the game by bringing his quality to bear to send a ball against the post after three minutes, and shortly afterwards he found himself in front of Conan after dribbling past several Cadista players. It was Sergio González's men who, after twelve minutes, took the lead with a goal from Lucas Pires from Chris Ramos' low cross.

This was a bitter blow for the home side, who saw Fali from midfield almost score the second with a shot that went just wide of the post under the watchful eye of Jan Oblak. In the 27th minute, Roger Marí found himself in front of the home goalkeeper after a great kick from Conan to beat the keeper with a lob and put the score at zero to two on the scoreboard.

After half an hour, Correa headed home a cross from the right to cut the deficit. In this move, Fali was injured, giving his place to Momo Mbaye. After the goal, the Madrilenians got back into the game and were once again on the edge of Ledesma's area. Despite this, the Cadistas were leading by one to two at half-time.

Just after the start of the second half, Molina arrived in the box to latch onto a rebounded ball after a save by Conan to drill into the Cadista goal and level the scores. Minutes later, Griezmann looked for the third with a shot from the edge of the area, but Conan Ledesma came up with a magnificent save to keep out the goal.

In the 67th minute, Correa finished off a one-touch counter-attack from the home side to beat the Cadista goalkeeper in the six-yard box and make it three-two. After conceding the goal, the Cadistas tried to push forward to fight for the equaliser, but the home defence was very solid and the three points stayed at the Metropolitano.
