Juanmi narrowed the gap in the second half, and Darwin Machís secured the draw in the final moments with a phenomenal goal.

Cádiz CF played the 26th matchday of LALIGA EA SPORTS against RC Celta de Vigo at home, lining up with: Conan Ledesma; Iza, Meré, Víctor Chust, Javi Hernández; Robert Navarro, Escalante, Rubén Alcaraz, Sobrino; Juanmi, and Maxi Gómez. Before the start of the match, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the victims of the fire in Valencia.

The match began with a determined Cádiz pressing high and combining attacks at a fast pace against Celta. The atmosphere at Nuevo Mirandilla was electric, boosting the team with incredible morale. However, Celta struck first with a shot from Iago Aspas from outside the box after being set up with a pass, putting them 0-1 ahead in the 10th minute. Ledesma stretched but couldn't reach the shot from the Celta forward.

The game slowed down in terms of chances. It wasn't until the 36th minute when Maxi Gómez's header from a corner went narrowly wide of the right post of Guaita's goal. Cádiz had another opportunity with a direct free kick from Rubén Alcaraz, which was well saved by the visiting goalkeeper.

With three minutes of added time and a penalty appeal from Maxi Gómez, quickly resolved by VAR, the first half ended.

In the beginning of the second half, with no changes, Rubén Alcaraz struck a powerful volley towards the visitors' goal, but Guaita again responded well to clear the ball. In the 57th minute, Williot picked up a loose ball at the far post to make it 0-2. The Celta player had just come on alongside Jailson, replacing Renato Tapia and Allende.

In the 64th minute, Pellegrino made three changes, bringing on Kouamé, Sergi Guardiola, and Chris Ramos for Escalante, Sobrino, and Maxi Gómez. Immediately, Sergi Guardiola delivered a wonderful cross, which Juanmi headed home to reduce the deficit and make it 1-2.

In the 79th minute, Juanmi had another chance. A fantastic cross from Iza was met with a weak header by the Cádiz forward, comfortably caught by Guaita. Immediately after, Rubén Alcaraz had a shot in the box, but it was blocked at the last moment by a visiting defender.

In the 86th minute, Iza and Robert Navarro made way for Zaldua and Darwin Machis. In the 8 minutes of added time, even with extra time due to a head injury sustained by Chris Ramos in an aerial duel, Darwin Machis unleashed a rocket into the top corner to secure the 2-2 draw.
