Cádiz managed to score three important points to leave the bottom of the table against a Córdoba team that barely troubled David Gil. Javier Ontiveros and Roger Martí, both in the first half, were the authors of the goals of the second victory of the Cadiz team in front of their fans.

Cádiz started the match very well, frequently playing in the opponent's field and collecting passes near the opponent's goal.

As a result of this good start, Brian Ocampo had the opportunity to try his luck with a shot inside the area that was cleared by the Cordoba defense and, just after, José Joaquín Matos launched a pass of death that almost ended up inside Marín's goal.

In addition, and before the first ten minutes of the match were over, Javier Ontiveros, from the corner of the area, shot the ball looking for the corner of the long post of the visitor's goal, crashing the ball into the woodwork.

Cordoba then responded through Antonio Casas. The visiting striker, with a powerful shot from the edge of the area, met the post of David Gil's goal in what was the prelude to the best minutes of Iván Ania's team in the first half.

However, Cádiz hardly had any dangerous opportunities and, when Paco López's side were having a hard time, a long ball from the Cadista goalkeeper ended up in the boots of Roger who, after facing the goalkeeper, fell inside the area.

After the VAR review, the referee decreed a penalty and Javier Ontiveros took the spot-kick. The player from Marbella was unable to score from the spot, but took advantage of Marín's rebound to put the Cadistas ahead with just under ten minutes remaining in the first half.

When everything seemed to indicate that they would go into halftime with a minimal advantage, a play inside the small area was fought by Roger so that the ball crossed the line and, although it seemed that the ball had entered completely, it was necessary to resort again to the VAR to establish the 2-0 with which the players would go to the tunnel of dressing rooms.

After the restart, Cordoba began to take the lead with the ball, but even so, it was Cadiz who had the first clear chance of the second half. Brian Ocampo, after a fantastic personal play, served the ball into the box for Carlos Fernandez to finish, but the Utrerano attacker's header went just over the crossbar.

In any case, Cadiz managed to create hardly any dangerous chances and, with the result of 2-0, ended a match that was the second consecutive victory of the yellow team at home.
