1-0 | Chilly night in Vitoria

Luis Rioja scored from the penalty spot in the 50th minute

Cádiz CF played the 21st round of LALIGA EA SPORTS against Deportivo Alavés, away, forming with: Conan Ledesma; Zaldua, Fali, Víctor Chust, Lucas Pires; Alejo, Escalante, Rubén Alcaraz, Robert Navarro; Sergi Guardiola and Chris Ramos.

The game kicked off and in the second minute of the match, Jon Guridi hit the crossbar with a left-footed volley. Alavés racked up two more chances with a high shot from Carlos Vicente and a header from Kike García that Conan Ledesma caught. The immediate response from the Cadista side was a header from Chris Ramos that Sivera had to turn behind for a corner and a shot from the edge of the area by Sergi Guardiola that went just wide of the right-hand post.

In the 29th minute, Iván Alejo's pressure forced Sivera into a challenge, but the rebound sailed over the top of the goal. The game was evenly poised on the pitch with a distinct lack of scoring chances in both areas.  With nothing of note, and with a minute of stoppage time, half-time was reached.

The second half started with no changes. In the 49th minute, Iván Alejo stepped on an Alavés player inside the area and the referee awarded a penalty. Luis Rioja scored the penalty to make the score 1-0. In the 55th minute, Chris Ramos, caught by a rival, made a header that went just wide.

In the 67th minute, Robert Navarro made a great pass to Chris Ramos, whose shot was blocked at the last moment. Minutes later, Eyong Blaise, a striker from the reserve team, made his debut in the First Division, replacing Sergi Guardiola. Brian Ocampo replaced Iván Alejo. Later, Álex came on in place of Escalante.

Finally, in the 87th minute, Iza and Negredo came on in place of Zaldua and Lucas Pires. However, after seven minutes of added time, the result remained unchanged and the Yellows returned empty-handed from Vitoria.
