Saturday’s matchday-20 LaLiga Santander clash with Sevilla FC saw two Cádiz CF youth products make their top-flight debuts. Alfonso ‘Pacha’ Espino’s absence handed an opportunity to Marc Baró, who had also featured for the first team in the Copa del Rey earlier in January. The 21-year-old left-back played the full 90 minutes.
With 10 minutes to go at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, Manuel Nieto was also given his bow by Cádiz head coach Álvaro Cervera, having already been named in several matchday squads since last season. The striker, 22, wore the number 33 shirt.
