Rubén Sobrino picked the perfect moment to open his Cádiz CF goalscoring account, popping up with the strike that gave his side all three points against Granada CF.

Sobrino, who is on loan at the club from Valencia CF, said: “Today we put in a really focused performance and we deserve the win. These were three really important points, because they all but seal survival. I’m really pleased with the job we’ve done.”

Getting back among the goals “hasn’t been easy”, he said. “Every forward is always desperate to score, and I’m delighted to have got the goal and won us three important points. I could have made it 2-0, too, but it wasn’t to be.”

Sobrino concluded: “I knew exactly what to expect of this team and both my team-mates and the coaches have made life very easy for me. If we’ve done well, it’s because everyone gets behind each other – those who play more and those who play less. We have a clear style and a real will to succeed.”
