SEND US YOUR STORY WITH THE 110TH ANNIVERSARY POSTCARD!

There are followers of Cádiz all around the globe and now they can be even closer to the club thanks to ¡Cadistas! and social media.

This week in the club’s official magazine ¡Cadistas! we’ve launched the ‘Travelling Cádiz 110th Anniversary Postcard’. The club recently launched the postcard and stamp for its 110th anniversary and we decided to send it out on an unstoppable voyage around the world.

We’re all too aware of the loyalty of our supporters and also that our fans can be found all around the world. And so this postcard, one that’s 100% Cádiz, can be used to tell us all the incredible stories you want to send us, like this one from Cameron Caldwell (Florida, USA) who from his Twitter profile @KelpieWhaler sent us the postcard published above.

Are you far away from Cádiz and want to tell us your story? Get in touch with us!!

“Unlike most Americans I learned to play football as a kid in the 70s. I’ve loved this game ever since.

In my city I support Orlando City SC and their women’s team, Orlando Pride. I’m a member of the fan group Orlando Ruckus, which is similar to the Brigadas Amarillas. I also support my grandfather’s club, St. Mirren FC, in Scotland.

I’ve been a fan of Cádiz CF since 2018; at that time I was working temporarily in the Astilleros de Navantia dockyard. That’s where I met members of the Brigadas Amarillas.

I remember my first game watching Cádiz CF, which was a friendly played at the Estadio Municipal Arturo Puntas Vela in Rota. I was also lucky enough to go to the Ramón de Carranza to see the team play in the flesh.

The last Cádiz game I was able to see was against Real Zaragoza, on a Monday night in 2019. If I remember correctly, the Brigadas Amarillas did not attend the game in protest (No Football on Mondays). The game finished 3-3.

I follow Cádiz CF on Twitter (@KelpieWhaler) and watch the games on my computer; now they’ve been promoted to Primera it’s easier to watch them on the television.

I’d love to return to Cádiz to be able to watch the team once the problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic have ended.

SIGNED: With much affection for all the Cadistas, Cameron Caldwell…
