Cádiz CF forward Rubén Sobrino spoke to the club’s in-house media team after Sunday’s draw with FC Barcelona. “Given the run we were on, this is a really important point for us,” he said. “And, in terms of the display, that was more like it today; that’s also massive for us. We were compact, focused and organised, and the point we’ve come away with is our reward for that.”
Hard work day in, day out: “Our recent games have pushed us on to improve. We’ve watched videos, we’ve worked hard. To a man, we all knew we could do better. We’ve given our all in training and we gave our all today. We put in an excellent performance and it’ll serve as a real confidence boost.”
Versatility: “For me, playing and being able to help the team is the most important thing. On my first day at the club, I told the gaffer that I wanted to bring something to the team and would look to do so in whatever position he told me to play in. I’m out to do as well as possible whenever I get my chance and earn my place in the XI.”
