Cádiz B manager Juan Manuel Pavón spoke to the press ahead of his side’s trip to face Marbella at the Estadio Lorenzo Cuevas this Sunday.
“We won our last away game but I was particularly pleased with the way we played in the game before that, even if we didn’t manage to get a result” the reserve team boss noted. “We did a lot of things well and during training this week we have built on that.”
However, Pavón noted that his side are still on a learning curve: “It’s not out of the ordinary that we make mistakes because we are a young side. Now we are playing away against an experienced team who have a lot of quality, as is the case with Edu Ramos or [Esteban] Granero. They are players on a superior level.”
Pavón added that the way Segunda B is set up this season lends greater importance to every game: “With the new format all the teams are aware that every game is a final because there are not as many fixtures this season. You have to take into account that every defeat sends you down the table and every victory pushes you up. The team is very motivated and in good spirits and everyone is available except Idrissa, who hasn’t recovered from his injury yet.”
