Cádiz Club de Fútbol was this afternoon notified by the Spanish Football Federation’s (RFEF) Competition Committee that Álvaro Cervera has been suspended for four games following the conclusion of disciplinary proceedings that were opened against our head coach after he was reported to the Committee by the RFEF’s Department of Integrity.
The club feels this punishment is unfair and disproportionate, and is already working on its appeal against the ruling. Cádiz CF believes this appeal will prove that at no point did Cervera make remarks that contravened current regulations or were injurious to match officials, who we have always defended and will continue to defend.
