Negredo: "The team believed until the end"

The Cadista forward analyses the season in the official Cádiz CF media

Balance of the season

Good, above all, for the way it ended. It has been a very tough year with moments in the season when things didn't go as well as we had hoped, it was very difficult for us to win at our home ground. There was also a change of coach, which means that things are not going well. The players weren't doing a good job, the coaching staff weren't doing a good job either and in the end it's the decision that is usually made because you can't sack 25. The team believed until the end and we were able to achieve the objective in an agonising way, but you also enjoy it more that way.

The best moment

The game in Vitoria is the one we will all remember and the one we will remember the most, but there have been other very good moments with games we have played very well. We won away from home with the support of many people who travelled with us and having the good fortune that other teams failed, we achieved our objective. It's always important to win, even more so when you beat a team like Barcelona. Maybe they weren't at their best, but we were able to take advantage of it and we enjoyed that moment, and many others, very much.

The worst moment

Not being able to win at home. It was very difficult for us to have the crowd behind us and they didn't enjoy the game at all. For me that's the hardest thing, not having reciprocated the fans with more victories at our ground.

Message to the fans

I can only say thank you for the way you have supported us, for the respect you have shown for us and for everything. Even knowing that the situation was not easy, they know how to suffer and they have shown it. They have been with us from the first to the last day. It's time to enjoy it together.
