The Cádiz CF Foundation and the Women in Crisis Association (Asociación Mujeres Desamparadas) recently held an initial meeting to set out guidelines with a view to a future collaboration agreement.
José Mata, manager of the CCF Foundation, accompanied by Antonio Cara, project manager, received Rosa María Núñez, the president of the association, and Tamara Suárez, a technician, to learn first-hand about the needs and difficult current situation facing women in crisis. The aim of this organisation is to help and provide advice to victims of gender-based violence and women at risk of social exclusion.
The meeting served to plan a future collaboration agreement and a coming campaign to be launched on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. A campaign to ensure the fans are aware of the need for all citizens to help in the fight against this social evil.
Finally, the CCF Foundation would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the importance of calling 016 (in Spain) if you or anyone you know is suffering abuse. The number is free and will not appear on the phone bill.
