On Wednesday at Sevilla's Freemap medical centre, Carlos Akapo underwent an arthroscopic operation.
During the procedure, the medical team detected a slight displacement of the external meniscus in his right knee which was corrected and the intervention had no impact on the player's internal meniscus or cruciate ligament.
The defender was given the medical all-clear on Thursday and will resume light training next week under the supervision of the club's physiotherapy team.
