Marcos Mauro, central defender for Cádiz CF, scored the winning goal against Valencia CF. After the match he said: “We came out with the idea of taking all three points. We’ve got the win, which was what we were looking for. We were playing a fine side, with top quality players and we’re worked hard thinking about this match.”
Mauros carried on, saying: “I’m happy to help the team and also personally, because it gives you confidence for the remaining games. Hopefully it will help us to stay up.”
Mauro highlighted that “picking up points is the most important thing; you have to try and get three and if it can’t be three then at least one. Today we were able to make it three and I’m really happy about that.”
