Goalkeeper Jeremías ‘Conan’ Ledesma made his debut on Thursday and what a way in which to do it, keeping a clean sheet and making some outstanding interventions to help his team to victory.
The Argentine stopper said after the game: “I am very happy with the win. The boys put in an impressive effort.” He added: “they [Athletic Club] were superior and more so when we had fewer players for so long. The points are very important and let's see if next week we will make them seem even more valuable.”
He also said: “We give everything for the shirt each time we play and our commitment was clear.”
