Cádiz CF and Atlético Madrid have reached an agreement for the loan of Ivan Šaponjić to the end of the season. Born in Yugoslavia (02/08/1997) he came up through the ranks at Partizan Belgrade, and won the U-20 World Cup with Serbia in 2015. Having played for the Benfica reserve team (2015-19) he went on loan to Belgian side Zulte Waregem, where he scored seven goals in 39 games. He moved to Atlético in the summer of 2019, where he is under contract through to 2022.
The forward has already passed his medical and is under the orders of Álvaro Cervera for this Friday’s training session.
