INVESTIGATING JUDGE MOVES TO DISMISS CASE AGAINST MANUEL VIZCAÍNO

The investigating judge appointed by the Spanish Football Federation’s (RFEF) Competition Committee after disciplinary proceedings were opened against Manuel Vizcaíno Fernández, the president of Cádiz Club de Fútbol, on Tuesday confirmed that he has moved to dismiss the case.

Having received the club’s arguments and analysed all the evidence, the judge has concluded that Vizcaíno “did not accuse match officials of consciously or deliberately favouring opponents”, and that the statements made by the Cádiz CF president after our fixture against Real Sociedad “constitute a legitimate exercising of the constitutional right to freedom of expression, a right which also applies to club directors”.

For these reasons, he has determined that “no infraction listed in the RFEF Disciplinary Code was committed”.
