Real Valladolid head coach Sergio González spoke to the media after Tuesday’s 0-0 draw with Cádiz at the Carranza, noting: “In the first minute, we had a great chance to score that could have changed the course of the game.”
González continued: “We went out there and were solid and steady at a very tough ground to come to. Cádiz played a direct brand of football that knocks you off your own game, but we matched them all the way and were possibly even the better side.”
He concluded: “Our position in the table affected us mentally and meant we were focused on not losing the point that we had.”
