Cádiz CF coach Gaizka Garitano spoke to the press in the media room of the Sports City ahead of the clash against SD Eibar in matchday 33 of LALIGA Hypermotion.
History with Eibar. "Yes, it's a special match. I spent many years there, I think 13 in total between being a coach and a player. It's always special to play against them, but what we want is to keep the three points at home. For us, it's an important match. No matter who we play against, when we play at home, our goal is to win the three points."
Objective. "Our goal is always to win the next match. We come from a loss in Tenerife and we are really eager to win this one. We know it will be tough and that we’ll be playing against a good team in good form. But the goal is always the same: win the next game and take it step by step. In football, objectives are always short-term, and that’s what eventually determines whether you’re higher or lower in the standings in the long run."
Absences. "We had a few players who were sick this week and missed training due to vomiting, but that’s typical this time of year with the temperature changes. Brian and De la Rosa are training well, even though they didn’t make it to the last match, they seem likely to be ready for this one. Let’s see how tomorrow’s afternoon training goes, hopefully everyone will train well, have no issues, and we can count on the full squad."
