The Cádiz CF Femenino boss felt Saturday’s result against La Rambla reflected the level of his side’s performance

Speaking to the club’s in-house media team after Saturday’s 2-2 draw with La Rambla, Cádiz CF Femenino head coach Emilio Soler conceded that his side have plenty of room for improvement.

“Given how the game panned out, a draw was a fair result,” Soler said. “They went ahead early on after we made an error, leaving us playing catch-up. We managed to equalise with a great goal by Julia [Lago], but we went in for the break feeling like they were causing us problems on the second balls and were creating more danger. In the second half, we were the better side and managed to get ourselves ahead, but we can’t be conceding the stoppage-time goal that we did.”

Acknowledging the battling spirit shown by Cádiz Femenino, he added: “The team looked in good physical shape, but we were too hasty with some of our decision-making. I come away from the match with the feeling that we conceded from a set piece and we shouldn’t be letting that happen. Dead balls are a situation where we’re usually so strong.”
