Conan Ledesma: "Keeping a clean sheet puts us on the right track"

The Argentinian goalkeeper faced the media ahead of the match against Espanyol

Goalkeeper Conan Ledesma attended to the media in the club's training ground press room by telematic means. "It's always good to have a break to work on the team's weak points, there were players who were with their national teams who are coming back and soon we'll all be together to work on the match against Espanyol, something we're working on," he explained.

The top flight. "I think we faced some great teams, we didn't do badly, but we didn't get the results we wanted. The first year was difficult, but the second year is more difficult because you are not a surprise. They know us and it makes it more complicated to face the matches. This year they know Cádiz and they know how to defend and how to face us".

On a personal level. "Last year it was my first in Spain, after a break due to a pandemic and I was also locked up for a month because of COVID. This year I feel good and I'm happy".

Leaving the clean sheet is a good way to go. "There is a need to keep a clean sheet because psychologically it is very good. I played well against Valencia, especially at the end, and that makes it more gratifying. Keeping a clean sheet puts us on the right track psychologically".

The atmosphere in the cadista dressing room. "It's a dressing room that is still being formed. Many have left, others have arrived and that's normal. The joy and the good treatment is always in our dressing room".

The Argentina national team. "Defending the Argentina jersey is something incredible, I hope I can do it more times. Playing in the Olympic Games defending my country's jersey was heaven for me, both on a personal and sporting level".
