The Spanish FA’s Competition Committee has shelved the investigation into Juan Cala in relation to the game between Cádiz and Valencia, played on 4 April this year.
The Committee’s ruling states that it “shares the conclusions reached by the Investigator regarding the evidence examined and that from [said evidence] it is not possible to confirm that there is proof of the alleged racist insult.” This was on the basis of all the evidence provided: the report of the investigation, audiovisual evidence and reports from LaLiga.
An appeal to the Appeals Committee can be made against this ruling within a period of 10 working days.
