Cádiz CF Femenino’s match winner María Coello spoke to the club’s in-house media team after her side’s 2-1 victory over Sporting Huelva B. “It was an intense game, really hard-fought,” Coello said. “We played well throughout. The penalty got us back on terms and then getting the winning goal was such a great feeling – we really needed that.”
Asked about her stunning last-gasp strike to claim all three points, she said: “I saw the goalkeeper was off her line and I didn’t think twice about hitting it. Getting that winning goal was such a great feeling for us. We came into this game off the back of bad performances and this will stand us in good stead for the game against Málaga.”
