Cádiz CF beat Real Madrid thanks to a goal from ‘Choco’ Lozano at Valdebebas. although the win was thanks to the entire team for the performance and the huge amount of effort each player put in.

The Honduran striker has gone down in Cádiz history, scoring a goal that will be remembered for a very, very long time. Lozano, who spoke after the match, said, “I was lucky enough to score, something which isn’t easy playing against the best in the world. As well as my goal, the entire team performed really well and ensured the goal counted. It’s unbelievable, but we’ve done it.”

Lozano analysed the game, commenting, “we had more chances to score, but facing Real Madrid we’re really happy with what we’ve done. We need to keep working hard because there’s a long way to go in the league.”

The striker continued, “we came with the mentality of looking for the win from the off.” He added, “it was hard out there because we were playing a really tough team, but we knew how to cope with the pressure and we’ve picked up all three points.”

Lozano was taken off at half-time due to “a knock from Sergio Ramos, that I think was unintentional. I thought I’d be able to play in the second half with some hot balm, but it got worse. I had to give way to a team-mate, who [I knew] would do as well as me or better. The great thing about our team is that, no matter who comes on, they come on completely fired up.”
