CERVERA ON DRAW AGAINST ELCHE: “POINTS ARE ALWAYS GOOD"

The manager spoke to the media via teleconference from the press room of Elche’s Estadio Martínez Valero

The Cádiz CF coach, Álvaro Cervera, offered up his evaluation of the game that ended 1-1 at the Martínez Valero against Elche.

The boss stressed that “points are always good, but the match wasn’t.” He added that "the start of the game was pretty balanced with both teams finding it difficult.”

He recalled that "their goal came from a lost ball from us and we drew level thanks to the fact that they were a man down.”

Cervera was clear, saying “our ball circulation wasn’t fast enough nor good enough for eleven against ten. We are in the Primera and we have to do more when things are going against us.”

Delving into more detail, the manager said that “getting something in any game at this level is good. But today Elche dealt with the ball better than us and in the second half, with an extra player, we showed that we struggle when in possession. We had an advantage that we weren’t able to capitalise on.”The manager spoke to the media via teleconference from the press room of Elche’s Estadio Martínez Valero
