The Cádiz CF boss Álvaro Cervera faced the media via video link ahead of Thursday's LaLiga Santander matchday against Barcelona. "We have to know that Barça are different from other years, they are very dangerous. They used to play on the inside and now they play on the outside. I still think they are a very dangerous team, different. They can field a line-up of eleven international players. It's Barcelona and it's still just as dangerous". he explained.

Barça's play.  “Koeman tried to play in the Barcelona style, but the other day the game was against them very early and that led him to do different things. Granada’s game is not their style, another way of playing led him to the game, Granada, the result. They try to get forward on the outside normally. Before they used to give the ball to Messi and now they get forward on the outside. The other day they crossed a lot and were so far from the goal. They're still a dangerous team, they're still trying to play Barcelona's style, but it's difficult for them because they don't have the players they used to have. For me, styles are determined by the players you have".

The way of defending is the key. "It’s difficult for us to change. We can change something about a particular player, waiting for our opponent further forward or further back. We have to know that they’re going to cross more times than usual. They have injured players. We don't change the way we defend. We will have to look at some things on the videos and be clear about them, but from there we are not defending well. We defended well in the first half in Vigo, in the second half we were terrible. Our improvement comes from defending like we did in the first half in Balaídos".

Absentees. "We have to be cautious with some players because of the high number of matches. There are players who aren’t at 100%. We only have Garrido and José Mari injured, but there are injured players that we'll have to know in which game we'll use them. We're taking all that into account".

Opciones. "No voy pensando por cuánto vamos a ganar porque no lo hago en ningún partido. Pero creo que cualquier partido que jugamos se puede jugar. Tenemos que estar muy bien y que el rival no tenga su mejor día. Tenemos que ir en los plazos que queremos. Se pueden dar circunstancias y puedes ganar. Se pueden dar, claro".

Options. "I don't think about how much we are going to win because I don't do that in any game. But I think that any game we play is playable. We have to be very good and that the opponent doesn't have their best day. We have to go in the timescales we want. Circumstances can happen and you can win. It can happen, of course".

Sunday's game. "Experience tells me that looking ahead to the next game makes you lose focus on the present. I know what players I'm going to use tomorrow and on Sunday we'll see who we're going to use. I have bad experiences with rotations. I'm just thinking about tomorrow's game and then we'll see on Sunday".

Álvaro Bastida. "Bastida is a very quiet boy. He doesn't ask questions because he finds out everything at once. He plays football very well. He doesn't touch the ball too much. Always with intention. The other day he didn't shine more because of me, because I gave him a mission that was annoying to do. He knows that the benefit is always for the team. He must train with us, work with these players and learn from them. I think he's a sensational lad and the other thing we will achieve together".

The keys against Barça. "We can't be better than them. We can be better at specific moments. In our successes and in their mistakes. If we want to beat them in their game, we will normally lose. We can be better at specific moments and we'll take advantage of that to win the game".
