Cádiz Club de Fútbol and BMB Trade Group, an Uzbekistan state-owned company, formalized an agreement that aims to promote sporting collaboration between both parties as well as to increase the presence of the club on the Asian continent.

The signing ceremony was attended by both the Uzbek delegation, headed by the president of BMB Trade Group, Bekzod Mamatkulov, and Rafael Contreras, vice-president of Cádiz Club de Fútbol.

"This is a five-year agreement, which initiates a long-term relationship focused on collaboration in the sports field. We will be present in soccer academies in Uzbekistan, where Cadiz CF will help to promote football training. In fact, there will be players and coaches who will be in Cadiz throughout the year and will have their training, development and formation here", said Rafael Contreras.  He also highlighted the importance of "this special moment as it means taking another step forward in the internationalization strategy to take Cadiz beyond our frontiers."

On the other hand, Bekzod Mamatkulov expressed his joy at the agreement reached: "This is a historic day. We hope that this agreement will be very fruitful and we will link years of great achievements together".

"Football in Uzbekistan is on the rise. For us, academies are very important to give a voice to the children and attract football players," said the president of BMB Trade Group. Moreover, he expressed his connection with the idiosyncrasy of Cádiz: "I love the people of Cádiz. I feel a relationship of the two cultures. We want to strengthen ties between the two cultures".

Finally, the club's vice-president ended the event with a message in the form of a wish: "Hopefully in a few years we will see an Uzbek playing for Cádiz CF in LaLiga Santander".
